Essential Functions
Serves as the Chief of Health Services for the Department of Corrections (IDOC).
Serves as full-line supervisor.
Serves as an external liaison.
Provides oversight over health services' fiscal control and contracts.
Conducts policy research and monitors compliance with applicable rules, policies, and laws.
Monitors health services at facilities to ensure quality assurance.
Performs other duties as required or assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
Illinois license to practice medicine in the State of Illinois and completion of an approved residency in the position-related medical specialty of psychiatry, rehabilitation, medicine, or other specialty clinically appropriate to the psychiatric or habilitation setting.
Four (4) years of substantive medical administrative experience in medical/clinical or medical programs direction, planning, and evaluation....
