Position overview The Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking to fille the position of DOC Southern Region Deputy Commander of Investigations. This position serves as a full-line supervisor to DOC Southern Region investigation staff reviewing all final investigation reports and when approved for forwarding, approves the letter of transmittal, briefly outlining the elements of the investigation, the conclusion and the recommendations. This role additionally conducts special projects and investigations of unusual incidents at the request of the program manager, implements policies and procedures to enhance and stream-line the investigative process, and works closely with State’s Attorney’s to ensure a case is properly prepared for persecution.
