The Champaign County Sheriff's Office is currently accepting applications for Full-time Correction Officers for our county jail.  Starting salary is $54,0176.60 ($25.97/hour), $61,297.60 ($29.47/hour) after 5 years and $67,059.20 ($32.24/hour) after 10 years. Full-time employment also comes with additional benefits to include: vacation, sick time, medical/dental/vision, and retirement. Jail staff work 8-hour shifts and once hired you will be required to attend an 8-week training academy within 12 months of hired date.  There is a State required exam at the end of the academy to finalize your certification.
