CORRECTIONS OFFICER   The Corrections Officer is appointed by the Director of Court Services and Probation with the approval of the Chief Circuit Judge and has a Shift Supervisor or Acting Shift Supervisor as his/her immediate supervisor.  At the discretion of the Director the appointee will serve a six-month probationary period.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   The Duties and responsibilities of the Corrections Office will include, but not be limited to the following: Be available to assume and discharge the traditional duties or responsibilities of a detention officer as determined by management.  Provide supervision, guidance, care, and secure custody for youth held in detention.
